Nancy McPherson for Winnebago County Recorder

Nancy brings a wealth of experience to her campaign for Winnebago County Recorder. With over 11 years of experience at the Winnebago County Recorder’s Office, and as the offices’ Chief Deputy, she oversees the day-to-day operations. Nancy has embraced technology as a tool for modernization, efficiency, and cost containment.

Leadership and Experience

At a time of shrinking county budgets, Nancy's knowledge and expertise is invaluable. As an active member in the Illinois Association of County Clerks and Recorders, Illinois Association of County Officials and the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers, she is at the forefront of the issues facing Recorder’s offices.

Nancy has worked with the association to modernize the old and inefficient system of Illinois state tax revenue stamps to further improve the efficiency of the real estate transfer declaration process.

Nancy spearheaded the Winnebago County’s eRecording project. With eRecording, documents for recording are submitted electronically, thereby greatly reducing the amount of time and labor required to record them. Through her efforts, Winnebago County became the first county in Illinois to accept eRecorded documents.
